1) General Disclaimer (No Legal Advice)

Fortress Signing & Notary (“FSN”) provides notarial services, optional non-notary services, and appointment coordination. We do not provide legal advice, legal representation, immigration advice, or guidance on which document you should use. If you need legal advice, consult an attorney.

2) Scope of Services

FSN performs in-person notarial acts under Nevada commission authority and may offer optional non-notary services when agreed in advance. We reserve the right to decline service when requirements are not met (including identification, signer presence, or lawful/ethical constraints).

3) Mandatory Fee Disclosure

Disclosure: Notarial act fees are set by Nevada law (NRS 240.100). Travel fees and non-notary services are optional and separate from notarial acts, and are charged only when agreed upon in advance.

3B) Operating Hours & Appointment Types (Availability Gate)

Appointment availability is governed by our Operating Hours and Appointment Types. Travel-fee rate windows describe pricing only and do not guarantee availability.

3C) Retainer Clients (If Applicable)

If you are a retainer client, your retainer terms may cover only the agreed scope of non-notary business support (if any). Notarial act fees are statutory and billed separately. Appointment confirmation, travel/dispatch, cancellation, and readiness rules still apply unless your written retainer terms explicitly state otherwise.

4) Appointment Requests & Confirmation

Submitting a request through our website is a scheduling inquiry. An appointment is not a final booking until confirmed by FSN. Confirmation typically includes availability, location, signer readiness, and any applicable travel/service fees before dispatch.

4B) Scheduling Disclaimer

Appointment times requested through the website/app are requests only and are not confirmed until accepted by Fortress Signing & Notary. Availability may change based on travel time, document complexity, and existing bookings.

Availability outside Standard Hours is not guaranteed and is offered only when scheduling permits. Premium appointment types (Early Bird 1:00am–6:00am and Extended Availability Tue/Wed only) may require approval and premium convenience rates.

5) Certified Copy Limitation

Certified copies are limited to circumstances permitted by Nevada law. FSN may certify copies only where authorized, including certified copies of entries from FSN’s notary journal (when applicable).

FSN does not certify copies of birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, divorce decrees, passports, driver’s licenses, or other restricted records. Clients should contact the issuing agency or an attorney for guidance on those documents.

6) Signer Requirements & Identification

To complete a notarization, the signer(s) must be present, willing, aware, and able to provide acceptable identification. If requirements are not met (missing signers, unacceptable ID, incomplete documents, refusal, or inability to proceed), the notarization may be declined or rescheduled.

6B) Right to Refuse, Pause, or Stop Service

FSN may refuse, pause, or stop service when legal requirements are not met, when signer readiness or identification is insufficient, when safety concerns exist, or when a request appears unlawful, abusive, or inconsistent with ethical obligations. We may also reschedule due to travel constraints, access limitations, or operational conflicts.

7) Uploads & Privacy

Uploads are optional and intended to help coordinate service. Please do not upload government-issued IDs unless explicitly requested. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be secure.

8) Website Use & Third-Party Systems

Our website and appointment request system may rely on third-party services (for example, hosting, email delivery, and business productivity tools). We are not responsible for outages, delivery delays, or interruptions caused by third-party platforms.

9) Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, FSN is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of this website, scheduling delays, incomplete or inaccurate request details, connectivity issues, or third-party platform interruptions.
